Who We Are

The TDA is the leading authority of Craven County’s tourism industry, one of the county’s largest employment sectors, which employs more than 1,303 residents and generates $183 million in direct visitor spending across the county.

In 2025, our Board of Directors launched a comprehensive Tourism Strategic Plan, outlining five key imperatives designed to position Craven County as the South’s most vibrant and well-rounded small coastal destination.

"It’s not always easy to bring an event to a new location, especially when most of the attendees are coming from Charlotte and the Triangle, but the Craven County Tourism Development Authority team has made bringing our conference to New Bern so easy and seamless. They provided assistance with many different aspects of our event with such a high a level of professionalism. This gave us confidence in building a unique experience for our guests. The partnership has been so amazing that we are coming back for our third year in a row!
